At first glance, you can see that you have a substantial Kékfrankos in your glass; its scent is the final proof of this: a blend of spiciness and ripe cherries. The palate reveals an intensified barrel effect, with the wood imparting additional spices (cloves and vanilla), followed by a hint of coconut that lingers on the palate. The structure is quite good: the acids enliven the slightly slower flavours imparted by the barrel, and the ripe fruits play beneath the spiciness. As you swallow, the wine fills your mouth and you can feel the alcohol, but it still feels fitting; there is substance to it, not just form.
Manual cluster selection. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in a stainless steel tank using reductive technology.
